My story is similar to many people. Growing up in church made me think everything was OK. God touched my heart and allowed me to realize that just going to church was not enough but I also discovered that being saved was not simply accepting Christ as my Savior but it meant a commitment to serve and honor him.

As I look back on my life it is easy to see where I strayed but I can also recognize the work of God in my life during those difficult times. I will not lie to you but I can tell you that serving a living, caring, and just God has made a tremendous difference in me. I want to serve Him, I want to tell others what he has done for me.

Surrendering my will to Him and not hindering the work of the Holy Spirit in my life has opened many doors for me to share the differences in my life. I now sing with a music ministry team from the Kansas City, Kansas area called “Bearing Armor.” God is blessing the ministry and we are seeing lives changed because of the message we share.

My invitation to you is two-fold

1) If you have never realized your need for a Savior, have never truly repented of wrongs in your past – now is the time. In the Bible, in John 3:16 makes it very simple, For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but will have everlasting life.”

2) If you are saved and have walked away or strayed from the loving arms of God, He is waiting open arms to welcome you home. He is the God of restoration. Return to him and fall into His loving arms and cry out as the Psalmist did in Psalms 51:12 “Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.”

There is no regret in serving God, there is regret in rejecting Him.
