I have grown up going to church. I cannot remember a time in my life when I didn’t go to church. I always just assumed I was going to heaven because of all the time I spent at church, and all the verses I had memorized through AWANA. One night at AWANA, we were having a discussion about how just because you go to church, and just because you have so many verses memorized does not mean you are going to heaven. They also told us how our parents faith is not our faith and it does not save us. After this, I found a leader and we talked for a while, and that night I accepted Jesus as my Savior.

About 2 years later, I was taken by ambulance to Children’s Mercy. I was told if I were to have come in at a later time, there was a chance I wouldn’t have made it. Through this time at the hospital, I was thinking a lot about baptism, but I didn’t talk to anyone about it. Awhile later, I went to d-now at my church. We talked a lot about our faith and baptism. I talked to my youth leader for a while about getting baptized. I was baptized 2 month later on January 17th.

I want people to look at me and see that there is something different about me, and I pray I can lead many people to Jesus.
