When I was a young boy of about six I was told in Sunday School that Jesus loved me and longed for me to live with Him in heaven when I died. To my young heart this was something I wanted and I prayed and asked the Lord Jesus to forgive me and be my Savior. I continued to attend church and grew somewhat in my faith. While in Jr. High I talked and acted like the other guys. Then our youth group was having a hay ride and I asked a young lady from school to come and her response got my attention: “You go to Church?” I had been trying to live two different lives, a church life on Sunday and a worldly life the rest of the week. That was when I made the decision to be true to Christ and to grow in faith and actions. 50 years later I have over 30 years of pastoral service and no regrets about being a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus. I pray this will encourage you as well.
