I was not raised in a christian home or did I attend church as a child. I was baptised as a teenager but didn’t really understand what that relationship with Jesus Christ was about until much later in life. My husband and I got married, graduated from college and started a family all in our 20’s. We attended church because I wanted my children to have a relationship with the Lord. We made many life decisions keeping Christ in the center. The most recent was purchasing a small business (if it was God’s will) so I could retire from a 25 year teaching career. God richly blessed and showed us his hand through the complete process allowing me to retire in May 2017. Since retiring, God has allowed our business to grow and even expand within the first year of ownership. God has been very gracious and continued to bless my retirement. We are very excited about our continued prosperity with God at our lives helm. Relying on God was not always easy but very freeing to see what he wants for us in this new chapter. Also with this chapter I have felt God wanting me to use my freed up time to serve him more abundantly. I find great joy in serving and look forward to the opportunities of serving God has planned.
