I have grown up with God all my life. My family and I have gone to church almost every Sunday ever since I was born, but when I was younger I had never realized that Jesus actually walked on Earth; I had always thought that they were just stories. I had never realized that Jesus actually died for our sins and loves us more than we know. In middle school I went to Youthfront with one of my really good school friends, and God came alive in me. The worship brought me closer to Him and that was when I really knew he was my savior. I found it amazing seeing kids my age and older worshipping the same God.

That week at Youthfront I gave my life to God and I saw how my life changed now that I had Him in my life. The fall after that summer I was going into sixth grade. I got busy, and reading the bible almost became a chore for me, I didn’t want it to be like that. At the end of seventh grade I had become really good friends with another Christian in my grade. We would talk about our faith and it was amazing. She helped me find God again. I had found my rock, Jesus. She was a great influence for me and I found my way back to God and now I want to have God in my life forever. I went to church camp with her and her church, Lenexa Baptist, in eighth grade. Camp Revolution changed my life for the better. I met many other Christians that I am still close with now. I found my church family. Now I look forward to worshiping and having fellowship with the people that have helped me grow at Lenexa Baptist. God has changed me for the better and His word will influence how I live now and in the future.
