Growing up as a pastor’s kid I was always involved with the church. I went to every church event and summer camp possible but as I grew up I relied on my parent’s faith. I wasn’t aware of it but my faith wasn’t my own. Once this was finally made clear through an impactful message at a summer camp, I decided I needed to make a change and stop relying on this relationship with God that my parents had. Working toward my own relationship with Him was strange because I already knew all the “Sunday School answers” but I wanted to truly love and appreciate God for what He’s done for me and how He loves me. I continue to grow in Him and hope that I will be able to effectively lead others to relationships with him.
