I grew up in the church, Sunday school, church camps, & volunteer events. I was a “good” kid. However, I was never taught about having a personal relationship with Jesus & reading the bible & prayer only happened in church. I fell into the sinful nature as a young adult & soon stopped attending church. My life was about controlling my OWN destiny. I was super competitive & a high achiever with big goals. After getting married, my husband & I attended a business luncheon of a church that had a BIG vision to reach the city for Christ. I understood the thinking big part…. but there was something else reaching my attention. They talked about having a personal relationship with Christ & putting all your faith & trust in him! We gave our lives to Christ & since that day our lives have not been the same! Instead of me wanting to control my destiny, I want God to be in TOTAL control of my destiny. Why would I want it any other way……HE is in fact the one that created me SPECIFICALLY for a certain purpose. I can tell you that having a PERSONAL relationship is far better than any church service, camp, or Sunday school I’ve ever attended! He is the King of Kings & Lord of Lords & I’m blessed to say HE CONTROLS MY DESTINY!!
