My journey with Jesus started when I was invited to attend a revival with a friend. I was 13 years old, I accepted the Lord that night, and baptized on Sunday. I had always had to earn everyone’s love, so sorry to say I carried that into my relationship with Christ. Needless to say, I never felt I was good enough to accept the great love Jesus died to give me. I didn’t grow as a Christian until I married, and we joined a church that had a strong young married group with a great teacher. Thanks to a strong Christian husband, and many dear friends, I began to believe God loved me and sent His son to die and suffer in my place. God allowed us to grow and serve Him.

Then my husband had Alzheimer’s. What I thought was the hardest time in my life, the one I had depended on, was no longer able to help me. I learned to trust and depend only on God. Then I realized God was guiding me into a deeper walk in His amazing love and Grace. I also found myself walking through a season of testing. The refining of faith is never a pleasant experience, but I learned from the children of Israel not to complain. I ask God what He wanted me to learn in my desert. God was faithful and walked every step with me. Some days God gave me just enough light for one step at a time. Most mornings he allowed me time to have time in His Word. God’s Word was and still is my survival guide. What a great and faithful God we serve.

God led me to LBC so thankful for a great Church where the love, preaching of God Word, and Music is led by the Holy Spirit. Also Blessed by Many great men of God. I am still under construction but looking forward every day to what God will do in my life.
