I had the privilege of growing in a wonderful family environment and my parents always made church a priority. I was always a good kid and rarely got into trouble, however even though people would comment on how good I was, I knew in my heart that I wasn’t as good as the outside appeared to be. At about the age of 13 I understood what I had been hearing since I was a small child, that Christ came for a purpose and His purpose was to forgive my sin. I accepted Christ and was baptized at the 1st Christian Church of Independence, MO where my father still attends at the age of 93. Although I understand what faith in Christ is all about, I really didn’t grow as a believer until I was an adult. I rededicated my life to Christ at a revival in the Northland in about 1989 and began to get more serious about my walk with the Lord. In 1998 I felt God calling me into a new adventure of full-time ministry and began serving at Lenexa Baptist Church in 2001. I know my place in heaven is secure and I know the promises of God are very real.
