I accepted God’s free gift of salvation when I was six years old during Vacation Bible School at Holt’s Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee. I heard the gospel presentation that is normally presented during VBS, and I responded to the Lord calling me to repent of my sins and surrender my life to Jesus Christ. I do not remember much of anything about my life before I entered into a personal relationship with God through Jesus given my youth, but I was aware that I was a sinner in desperate need of a Savior. I was convicted of my sin and my lostness, and I recognized that the only way to receive the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life was to trust in Christ alone to save me. Ever since I made the greatest decision of my life to follow Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord, my life has never been the same, for I have been radically changed from the inside out. Upon my profession of faith, Jesus came into my life and gave me true hope, peace, and purpose. As I matured in my faith growing up, I felt the Lord calling me to ministry, so in my senior year of high school, I announced my God-given desire to enter pastoral ministry. Now, I serve as the lead pastor at First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge, Missouri. Through every phase of my life, God has been sovereign and faithful. I am nothing without Jesus, but with Him, I am more than a conqueror!
